Sunday Writes

02th May 2010

To get into the promised land, you need to navigate your way through the wilderness. All of us will eventually encounter obstacles, problems and challenges that crosses our paths. How we respond to these encounters and challenges is one of the most critical decision that we will have to make. It is said that a man with twenty challenges is twice as alive as a man with ten. If you do not have any challenges in your way, you should get down on your knees and ask, “Lord, don’t you trust me anymore?” So what if you have problems. That’s good! Change your perception and start viewing your problems positively. Why? Because consistent victories over your problems are the necessary steps to success.

The truth is this; if you find a path with no obstacles, it is probably a path that does not lead to anywhere important. Always remember that Man’s adversity is God’s opportunity. Hence adversity gives birth to opportunity.

What therefore is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? The difference has everything to do with our attitude. Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity. Many people have good intentions, but then something bad happens and they simply stop on their tracks. Every path has a puddle, but these puddles that is in our way can be God telling us where to step.

Remember also that every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you do not have any problems, you do not get the seeds. We may face a lot of challenges in our path ways when we are used by God to build the body of Christ. Yet, that is our big chance to learn how to depend on God. The end of our ways is the beginning of God’s way. Live your life so that you can say, “I’ve had a life full of challenges, thank you God!”
